BYD Uzbekistan Factory Rolls Out First Batch of New Energy Vehicles

BYD’s Uzbekistan factory reached a pivotal moment with the visit of President Mirziyoyev, who witnessed the unveiling of the first mass-produced new energy vehicle, the Song PLUS DM-i Champion Edition. The event, attended by dignitaries including Ambassador Yu Jun and BYD’s Chairman and President Wang Chuanfu, signifies a significant step forward in Uzbekistan’s automotive industry.

 

In addition to the vehicle launch, BYD signed a cooperation agreement with the Uzbekistan government aimed at promoting sustainable transportation solutions. Wang Chuanfu emphasized that the factory’s launch will accelerate local efforts towards green transportation, highlighting BYD’s steadfast commitment to eco-friendly mobility. This initiative is expected to propel the development of new energy vehicles across Central Asia.

Located in Jizzakh province, the BYD-Uzavtosanoat JSC (UzAuto) joint venture factory plans to produce the Song PLUS DM-i Champion Edition and the Tang 05 Champion Edition plug-in hybrid models in its initial phase. With an annual production capacity estimated at 50,000 units, the factory aims to meet the growing demand in the Central Asian market.

 

The successful launch of the Song PLUS DM-i Champion Edition marks a solid step for BYD’s Uzbekistan factory. This model, known for its exceptional performance and environmental benefits, is anticipated to ignite a wave of green transportation trends across Central Asia.
